I prefer to make homemade snacks for class parties because, well…I enjoy it & yes, it’s a healthier option.
BUT, I also think it’s important to find that balance with children & not deprive them of “treats” but instead educate them on the purpose of food you eat.
So knowing kids love donuts, I decided to surprise them with donuts for the class Christmas snack today – with a side of fruit & water 😊
But not without a creative touch! Simply mix powdered sugar with milk to make an icing the consistency of elmer’s glue (I know, nice food description) Drizzle on donuts & attach pretzels for antlers & a red m&m for Rudoloh’s nose. Once dry, place in clear bags & tie with ribbon!
