I am always looking for fun, healthy snacks for our family, especially the kids.  This granola recipe is so fun because not only can the kids help make it, but the add-in’s are limitless and you can serve it as a cereal or in a yogurt parfait or make a Granola Banana Boat Split!

INGREDIENTS

3 cups dry old fashioned rolled oats

1/4 cup organic fresh cranberries

6 tbsp pure maple syrup

2 tbsp melted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tsp cinnamon

2 dashes nutmeg

(can add more cinnamon / nutmeg to taste)

Banana, plain greek yogurt and local honey for serving

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 300.

Line large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.

Spread mixture evenly on prepared pan.  Bake for 40 min, until dry and lightly toasted.

Slice banana in half and put on a cake plate.  Using an ice cream scooper or a spoon, spoon 2 scoops of greek yogurt on top of sliced banana.  Top with granola and drizzle with honey.

enJOY!
