APPLE CIDER DONUTS 🍩 who wants one?!

Keeping the weight off is easier when you have a few tricks for treats up your sleeve.

I’d love if you could share this recipe with another mom friend because who doesn’t need a quick and easy recipe for healthier donuts that the whole family will love?!

WHAT YOU NEED

1 1/2 cups apple cider
Baking Spray
4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1 3/4 cups flour or oat flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1 large egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1 tsp vanilla
4 Tbsp melted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar

For the topping
4 tbsp melted butter
1/8 cup coconut sugar
1/8 cup sugar
A dash of cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

In a small sauce pan, heat the apple cider. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 20 minutes or until reduced to half cup. Cool completely.

Heat oven to 350 degrees & coat donut pans with baking spray

In a large bowl, whisk together the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves flour and baking powder.

In a medium bowl whisk together the egg, milk, coconut sugar, vanilla, melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.

add to flour mixture, along with apple cider and mix until just combined and smooth. Let’s stand 10 minutes.

transfer batter to a gallon, size Ziploc bag, and pipe into donut molds, or any other fun shape mold you are using. Bake 10-15 min until edges are brown and donut bounces back when you press on it.

remove donuts from pan and cool.

In a small bowl, pour melted butter. In another bowl, add cinnamon & sugar & mix to combine.

Dip donut in melted butter & then in spice mixture. Repeat with all donuts.
